REM dream mechanics

Below is the hard physiology of the process: cortex runs wake-like computation, the body is locked offline, and pontine spikes paint the visual field. Oneirox reads dreams against this machine — not against a symbol table.

REM is a neuroplasticity pass with the motors parked

Roughly ninety minutes after sleep onset the first REM episode opens (~10 minutes). Each later cycle stretches the window; near morning it can run 40–60 minutes. That elongation is when most vivid dream recall is harvested — and when Decode has the densest mechanism signal.
